About Airport Professional Services, LLC
Gary T. and Dorothy A. Schott started Airport Professional Services (APS) in May of 2001. APS has provided services and equipment worldwide. In the beginning APS worked with a team of five other professionals to provide an extensive Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) study for the New Bangkok International Airport in Thailand. Working with the U.S. Trade Development Agency, the American Embassy in Bangkok, and Thai officials APS delivered an ARFF blueprint for an Airport with a future capacity to safely move approximately 40 million people a year. This was a major undertaking and a very successful one. APS has also recently assisted as a sub contractor for a Consulting firm for a project in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
APS then developed a Patent Pending aircraft simulator penetration training unit called the "Penetration Aircraft Skin Trainer" (PAST). The PAST was developed so ARFF crews responding with high reach extendable boom technologies could use a quality training device to hone their penetration skills.
In November 2007, APS will relocate to its own 10,500 square foot facility in Plattsmouth, Nebraska just outside Omaha. Shipping from this area of the country has its advantages in that freight to each coast will take approximately 3 to 4 days, and once a Purchase Order is received by APS PAST units will now be shipped within 12 to 72 hours.
