Penetration Aircraft Skin Trainer (PAST)
Introduction
APS is pleased to introduce the PAST. Professionals who have used the PAST have all expressed how valuable it is as a penetration training aid. Airport managers also appreciate the PAST because it is pleasing to the eye compared to previously used alternatives. Some observers have actually mistaken the PAST for a metal sculpture.
- ARFF crews now have the opportunity to hone penetration skills and increase confidence.
- The curvature of the PAST is similar to an aircraft fuselage.
- The PAST is constructed of heavy gauge steel framework covered with inexpensive, easily replaceable aluminum panels.
- The aluminum panels provide resistance and piercing action similar to an aircraft fuselage.
Testimonials
"Thank you for building such a remarkable training tool. My firefighters have trained non-stop since we took delivery of the Past device and have become experts with the snozzle. I have talked to numerous fire departments and I have really suggested that they buy the Past device and the advantages that they will have by using the Past device."
