When you fully understand the capabilities of the HRET’s you will appreciate (EMBRACE) the enhancements that we are making to the PAST TRAINER.
HRET’s were designed to address the severe conditions of aircraft firefighting by providing the firefighter with the ability to position the nozzle close to the seat of the fire, thereby allowing the limited amount of agent carried to the scene in a most effective manner. The HRET gives the firefighter the advantage to address any situation that arises or they encounter during the event. In the early stages of the event the airports do not have enough manpower to efficiently attack the fire, this is where the HRET is most valuable. It provides the needed advantage to extinguish and control to fire at the most critical time.
But if the firefighter is not properly trained on the overall operational characteristics or lacks the confidence in operating the HRET then it just becomes an inefficient roof mounted turret. Training is the essential tool required to allow the HRET to be operated as designed. The New and improved upgrades to the PAST TRAINER are designed to fill the void we currently encounter. Repetitive hands-on operational training is the key to preventing a keystone cop moment when approaching an incident that requires instantaneous and intuitive reactions.
In the course of your aviation firefighting career you may only have one opportunity to make a BIG difference.
DON’T LET THE BIG EVENT BE YOUR FIRST HANDS-ON TRAINING EXPERIENCE
The PAST 2.O HRET TRAINER is the key to preparing HRET operators with the hands-on training.
